Home Buyer Guide
Warranty Info
Buying a new home has its advantages and one of the biggest is a new home warranty. The Ivey Homes Warranty is designed to give homebuyers peace of mind for year one and beyond. Our warranty team is local to the Augusta River Region and our homeowners can be assured they will be greeted by a friendly helpful team if a warranty item comes up.
All Ivey homes come with a one-year builder’s warranty and a 2-10 extended home warranty. The one-year warranty covers the new home for a period of one year from the date of closing. The warranty for years 1-2 cover plumbing leaks due to potential construction defects, electrical wiring behind the walls, and ductwork concerns. Also included in the one-year builder's warranty are two times for warranty requests to be sent in, one at 30 days and another at 11 months before the one-year warranty expires. The first year in a new home is important and Ivey wants homeowners to know we are here to help and address any warrantable items that come up.
For years two to ten your warranty covers any structural concerns. After year 2, all claims must be submitted through the 2-10 warranty program. These warranty programs are at no additional cost to the homebuyer and transferred to the homeowner at closing.
Ivey understands emergencies will happen and has an after-hours emergency number. If during the first year a homeowner experiences an ‘After Hours’ Emergency involving plumbing, HVAC, or electrical, they should call the Ivey Emergency Hotline at 706-868-9363, and leave their name, address, phone number, and a message with detailed information, and an Ivey Team Member will be paged to assist between 7:00 am-9:00 pm.
They can also call the Trade Partner, who worked on the home, directly. All Trade Partner contact information is listed on the ‘subcontractors’ sheet in the Homeowner Binder. Homeowners will also need to let the Ivey Warranty Team know what happened, so they can make note of the concern in the warranty system.
